I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,
and to the republic for which it stands,
one nation under God, indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.
GOT DAMN
My country, 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, Of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died. Land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, Let freedom ring!
My native country, thee, Land of the noble free. Thy name I love. I love thy rocks and rills, Thy woods and templed hills; My heart with rapture thrills Like that above.
Let music swell the breeze, And ring from all the trees. Sweet freedom's song. Let mortal tongues awake, Let all that breathe partake; Let rocks their silence break, The sound prolong.
Our fathers' God, to Thee, Author of liberty. To Thee, we sing. Long may our land be bright With freedom's holy light; Protect us by Thy might, Great God, our King!
GOT DAMN!

In the United States today, here are some of the actions and systemic issues that have contributed to the oppression of Black individuals and communities from 2020 to 2025:
Police Brutality and Violence
One of the brutal oppression encounters living Black in America is the high-profile cases of police violence against Black individuals, such as George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.
Voter Suppression Laws
Throughout the United States, many "RED" states enacted laws that disproportionately affect Black voters, including stricter ID requirements, reduced polling places in predominantly Black areas, and limited mail-in voting options

Racial Profiling
Continual incidents of racial profiling by law enforcement, lead to disproportionate stops, searches, and arrests of Black individuals. Sorry, they don't have to be law enforcement, they can be Carolyn Dorham with a white lie or a concerned white "HOA" member, a Waitress at a restaurant, or a cashier in a mall store. Whites Only. You will always fit the description to be put into their system.
Economic Disparities
Gentrification
Healthcare Inequities
Education Inequalities
