ABOUT Ariel Bowen United Methodist Church
This Historical Black Church, that sits on the hill of Metro Atlanta, Georgia, in the Historical Black community of Pittsburgh. This church is known for its devotion in spreading the gospel, pioneering education for blacks in the public school system and enhancing opportunities at Clark Atlanta University. This institution has fed the hungry, supported families and assisted in upholding the Values of its community in multiple ways. In deptth of it’s history, starting in 1882, led by the Freedman’s Aid society, and Dr. Wilbur P. Thirkield, the president of Clark College. In 1904, it was renamed after the College Music Professor, Mrs. Ariel Serena Hodge Bowen. This ministry truly has a place to reap what they have sowed.
The Invite to Arms Wide Open Gospel Concert
This Gospel Fest serves as a Benefit Concert, powered by Nspired Images Inc., hosting to preserve this historical black church. With a warmth of rich history in supporting our school systems, communities, and individual spiritual growth, we are hosting this event to lend a helping hand. This is a FREE event that ask of a donation that is truly appreciative in helping us reach the goal of $30,000.00. Therefore, we invite you to come join us, Lovers and Friends of Gospel Music to traditional Vibe of Gospel Concert that features local gifts of performers in categories of soloists, poetry, spoken word, praise dancing, and choirs. Come Arms Wide Open to be a part of this mighty move.
